Lorna is teaching the BWY Yoga Foundation Course from September 2020. She also runs themed workshops in and around Winchester, including tailored Yoga for sport. Scroll down for more info.

Small group workshops can be arranged and tailored for cycling, running, tennis, football and more. Workshops and classes can be arranged at your workplace too. Contact Lorna for details of Office Yoga.

BWY Yoga Foundation Course Sept ’20 to July ’21: 60 hours

This is designed to explore yoga in more depth. It includes practical and theoretical work on the eight limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras; asana, pranayama, concentration and meditation, and on the history and different paths of yoga. It is ideal for students who would like to develop their knowledge of yoga, as well as for those wanting to train as teachers. Minimum two years’ yoga experience is essential.
The course will be held at Studio Yoga in Stockbridge and co-run with Tamsin Kelly.

Sat 2nd February Yoga For Cyclists

Calling all cyclists! Join Lorna to learn how yoga can help counteract all that time in the saddle. Suitable for all levels: roadies and MTB enthusiasts, leisure riders and sportive cyclists alike. Alongside yoga, Lorna enjoys cycling with friends and family, as well to get around locally (she’s even just acquired a third bike!) She’s written articles for Cycling Plus Magazine and taught on their cycling weekends.

This workshop will be held at the beautiful and fully equipped Studio Yoga venue, North Houghton, SO20 6LQ Stockbridge, Hampshire.

19th December 18:30 Christmas Yoga & Social: Charity Event

Join us for 75 minutes festive-themed Yoga with drinks and nibbles to follow. This session is a thank-you to you for the support you’ve given my classes over the past year. It’s also a fun way to bring us all together and to get to know each other. There’s no formal charge for the class, I’m doing it on a donation basis. All proceeds will go to Wessex Dance Academy, who provide life-changing opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged young people across Hampshire.

Please also consider bringing nibbles to share and wear something festive!

1st December 18:30-20:00 Pop-Up Yoga: Fun Flow with a Twist

Pop-up 90-minute yoga classes for the festive period. Come along to our playful, fun yoga sessions post-work, post-shopping and pre-dinner and drinks. Stay relaxed, strong, fit and flexible in the run-up to the Big C. Of course, we’ll end with a well-deserved relaxation. These are hosted by Wessex Dance Academy on St Paul’s Hill. 4th November  13:00-15:00 Turn Your World Upside Down: Inversion Basics

Are you nervous of going upside down? What is an inversion anyway? Why do we even go upside down?
In this workshop, we will answer these questions and more. We will explore how to perform variations of shoulderstand and headstand safely. We will use props to aid going in and out of poses, as well as for holding poses. We aim to take the fear out of inversions. Come and reap the benefits of putting your feet up in the air!

Runners, improve your flexibility, strength and mental focus and you could shave seconds or even minutes off your PB in all events! Don’t worry if you’ve never done yoga before, or if you’re not sure yoga is ‘your thing’. The class will run to suit all levels of experience, strength and flexibility.

Sat 25th March 10:00-12:00 Yoga Flow & Let Go

Join us at this beautiful, airy studio for two hours of yoga flow. We will begin with a short inward focus on the breath, then gradually build up to standing vinyasa sequences punctuated by holding poses, before moving to backbends and seated poses, some if which will be held a little longer for a greater release. Secure your place now for just £12. Or £14 on the day… but places are limited! Previous experience of yoga essential. Email lorna@lunayoga.co.uk for payment details. Intro to Yoga: Four-week Beginners’ course, Kings Worthy

12:15-1:30pm Monday 13th March – Monday 4th April 2017

Do you want to try yoga but are worried about joining a general class? Learn what it’s all about in this short introductory course. You’ll find out some basics about yoga and practice some basic poses and breathing and relaxation exercises. Course to be booked as a block.

SUP Yoga: Discover yoga on a Stand-Up Paddle Board! This can help hone your mental focus, as well as improve your core stability. It’s great to practise outside on the water and adds a new dimension to your yoga, not to mention that it’s great fun! Register your interest now with Lorna for classes in Spring ’17. Taster workshops and lessons will take place on the River Hamble at Universal Marina.

Thursday Evening Monthly Restorative Yoga

A series of restorative, yin-style sessions to work deeper into poses to help release the stresses and tensions of your week.  Atmospheric lighting, soothing music and essential oils for maximum relaxation. In Kings Worthy.

4th November ’16 6:15-7:45pm Hip-Hip Hooray! Release the hips 1

Focus on your hips to release in this commonly tight area to help issues in other areas of the body, including the lower back. Letting go completely in this area may also find helps you breathe more freely, plus even release inner emotions.

2nd December 6:15-7:45pm A Weight Off Your Shoulders

Let go of shoulder tension by holding some deeper poses, combined with breathing techniques and visualisation.
