Runners, improve your flexibility, strength and mental focus and you could shave seconds or even minutes off your PB in all events! Don’t worry if you’ve never done yoga before, or if you’re not sure yoga is ‘your thing’. The class will run to suit all levels of experience, strength and flexibility. Venue: New Energy Yoga, Parchment Street, Winchester. Tickets cost just £30 (£25 for NEY members) and are available from New Energy Yoga.

Sat 25th March 10:00-12:00 Yoga Flow & Let Go

Join us at this beautiful, airy studio for two hours of yoga flow. We will begin with a short inward focus on the breath, then gradually build up to standing vinyasa sequences punctuated by holding poses, before moving to backbends and seated poses, some if which will be held a little longer for a greater release. Secure your place now for just £12. Or £14 on the day… but places are limited! Previous experience of yoga essential. Email for payment details. Intro to Yoga: Four-week Beginners’ course, Kings Worthy

12:15-1:30pm Monday 13th March – Monday 4th April 2017

Do you want to try yoga but are worried about joining a general class? Learn what it’s all about in this short introductory course. You’ll find out some basics about yoga and practice some basic poses and breathing and relaxation exercises. Course to be booked as a block.

SUP Yoga: Discover yoga on a Stand-Up Paddle Board! This can help hone your mental focus, as well as improve your core stability. It’s great to practise outside on the water and adds a new dimension to your yoga, not to mention that it’s great fun! Register your interest now with Lorna for classes in Spring ’17. Taster workshops and lessons will take place on the River Hamble at Universal Marina.

Friday Evening Workshops: Relax, it’s the weekend!

A series of restorative, yin-style sessions to work deeper into poses to help release the stresses and tensions of your week. Small, private studio with just eight places. Atmospheric lighting, soothing music and essential oils for maximum relaxation. 


4th November ’16 6:15-7:45pm Hip-Hip Hooray! Release the hips 1

Focus on your hips to release in this commonly tight area to help issues in other areas of the body, including the lower back. Letting go completely in this area may also find helps you breathe more freely, plus even release inner emotions.

A continuation of Release The Hips 1. 

2nd December 6:15-7:45pm A Weight Off Your Shoulders

Let go of shoulder tension by holding some deeper poses, combined with breathing techniques and visualisation.

2017 Friday Themes I am considering include:

Ham it up! Explore ways to let go of tension in the back of the legs. Can also alleviate lower back pain.

Pranayama: Explore different breathing techniques and variations on familiar practices.

A beginner’s intro to yoga. This will explore what yoga is all about, as well as an introduction to some basic postures and breath work.

A study of inverted poses from downward dog to headstand.


Bending over backwards: Kings Worthy TBA

Release your spine and feel energised as we work on your backbends. Dynamic, flowing warm-up before working on a variety of backbends.

International Yoga Day

Join Lorna and other local teachers in a celebration of yoga. A wide range of classes available to attend, including mindfulness meditation, restorative yoga, various yoga flow, partner yoga and inversions. Entry just £10 for the day. All proceeds go to the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.

Inversions II

Coming soon after Inversions I! This workshop will look at more advanced inversions, such as forearm balances and handstands.
